Tillandsia fuchsii W.Till is often confused with Tillandsia argentea which has a similar appearance.
It can reach 15cm wide by about 7cm tall.
The flower is pink and purple and produced from the middle of the plant. Flowering is preceded by thicker growth in the centre. Offsets are produced to the side of the flower, so just off-centre to the mother plant.
Being very silvery, this plant needs good sun and would grow well perched on a cactus, though it may not appreciate the low temperatures that some cacti can tolerate.
